Search intensifies for missing plane

Laramie, WY – The search for a plane that likely crashed in the Wind River Mountains is intensifying today. Weather has hampered search efforts since Monday afternoon when the plane disappeared from radar near Gannett Peak. But, a helicopter was able to fly over the search zone this morning and last night a team of rescuers was dropped off in the area. John Gookin is the incident commander. He says he spoke to that team this morning.
"They said it is tough walking in the snow, it's 12 to 15 inches deep. They said it was zero degrees this morning and they said it was clear, but there was a cloud up on Gannett Peak."
The pilot of the plane is from Minnesota and he had three of his sons on board. One of the helicopters used to search for the missing plane had mechanical problems, but a replacement arrived today. Also a second team of hikers was flown into the area this afternoon.
