Cheyenne, Wy – State Senators rejected a proposal to reduce the speed limit for truck drivers Friday. Senate File 126 would have cut the speed limit on interstates down to 65 miles per hour. Senator Gerry Geis argued that slowing down trucks could result in more accidents.
Senator Hank Coe argued a bunch of trucks bogged down in one lane was not necessarily a bad thing. The bill died on a 15-15 tie vote.
