Washington, DC – Senator Mike Enzi is optimistic that this is the year Congress will finally enact health care reform.
The Wyoming Republican tells The Associated Press that the "time is right" and the effort is "going down a bipartisan track."
Enzi is a member of the so-called Board of Directors - the informal name embraced by a bipartisan group of about nine senators. They're crafting what is intended to be the Senate's main legislative vehicle for overhauling the nation's health care system.
Enzi is the senior Republican on the health committee and has seats on the finance and budget committees.
