Cheyenne, Wyo. – The Senate approved the so-called Castle Doctrine after amending it to essentially agree with Wyoming's current common law.
The senate left out a provision that gave citizens the right to no retreat and use deadly force outside of a home.
Senator Phil Nicholas expressed some concern that by agreeing with Wyoming's common law it might actually narrow some of the state's current self defense rights. But the bill passed easily and returns to the house who needs to decide if they will agree to the major changes the Senate made to the bill.
