Laramie, WY – Wyoming's revenue picture will increase by 98 million dollars in a year that people thought there would be a decline. The consensus revenue estimating group says the increase is because of a productive 2007. It means lawmakers will still have plenty of money to spend as they head into the legislative budget session. However, the long-term forecast is not as rosy as it has been because of low gas prices. State Economist Jim Robinson adds that gas production cannot increase to offset the prices.
