Cheyenne, WY – It does not appear that Wyoming will be joining any lawsuits over the federal No Child Left Behind Act. Suits over funding in the act have been filed by Connecticut and the National Education Association. Last month, Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal asked local school districts if they are receiving enough federal money to comply with No Child Left Behind mandates. So far, local school officials have been telling Freudenthal that their main concerns involve the lack of enough flexibility in meeting mandates themselves. Freudenthal says that feedback doesn't seem to justify joining a lawsuit.
