Cheyenne, Wy – Although the flu has been limited in the state this year, the Wyoming Health Officer says residents could still be at risk. Dr. Brent Sherard says Wyoming has probably been lucky with its low flu numbers, but he wonders if that is about to change. Sherard says since it's the holidays, many people have been in close quarters and that could have an impact.
Sherard says people can still get flu shots, but they will need to check on the availability of the shots in their community. He says folks should also make sure they use good hygiene and wash their hands frequently.
