Laramie, WY – Heavy snow and high winds have closed almost 15-hundred miles of Wyoming highways across the state with most of the closures occurring in eastern Wyoming. Dave Kingham of the Wyoming highway patrol says wind gusts over 50 miles an hour are limiting visibility and have led to numerous crashes. Kingham says some of the roads may remain closed for awhile. "Our weather in the spring is really always unpredictable, but our best guess on the forecast we have is that none of these are going to be open anytime soon," he says.
Among the closures are several hundred miles of interstates 90, 25 and 80 in the eastern third of the state.
