Denver, CO – The lone survivor of a crash on an icy stretch of Interstate 80 in Wyoming that killed three members of a prominent Denver family is improving.
Katy Parr was in intensive care at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper recovering from broken ribs and cuts.
Family friend Steve Katich told the Rocky Mountain News that Katy is awake and alert. He also says she is improving rapidly and is expected to be released this week, possibly as early as today.
Katy is a senior at East High. Katich said she would head to Boise, Idaho, the family's destination, to recover with family.
