Cheyenne, Wy – The Wyoming Department of Health says a Laramie County woman has become the state's third resident to die from swine flu.
The department said Tuesday that the woman died last week. She
had underlying health problems that contributed to the risk of
swine flu, also known as the novel H1N1 virus.
The department first confirmed in May that swine flu had reached
Wyoming. The virus also contributed to the deaths of a 46-year-old
Laramie County woman in October and a 21-year-old Fremont County
woman in August.
