Laramie, WY – A Cheyenne legislator is renewing his effort to outlaw certain kinds of cell phone use while driving. Representative Floyd Esquibel says he was saddened by the deaths of two Wyoming teenagers in the last two months. Both were driving while text-messaging. "What message was being transmitted?" Esquibel says. "What was so important about the message that it couldn't wait?"
Esquibel says he will once again introduce a bill during the next legislative session that will outlaw driving and using a cell phone for people between the ages of 16 and 18. His previous bills to limit cell phone use while driving have failed, but Esquibel says this one may have a better chance because it targets inexperienced drivers only.
