Thomas Doing Better

Washington D-C – A series of tests shows that Wyoming Senator Craig Thomas is on track for remission following his recent
treatment for leukemia.
Thomas' office says he returned to the Bethesda National Naval
Medical Center to finish follow-up treatment yesterday (Monday).
Thomas fell ill last month, just before Wyoming voters
overwhelming re-elected him to office. He underwent chemotherapy
treatments and was hospitalized until early this month.
Thomas says today (Tuesday) that the news from his doctors is a
wonderful blessing for himself and his wife.
He says all his tests show tremendous progress toward full
recovery -- and he says he feels good.
Doctor Brian Monahan is a cancer specialist who's been treating
the senator. Monahan says that he has every confidence that Thomas
will be ready to represent Wyoming in the coming session of
Congress.
