Gillette, WY – The rising number of valedictorians at
Campbell County High School in Gillette has some students saying that the school needs to grade on a tougher curve. Campbell County High School honored 13 valedictorians this year. The school hands out the honor to every graduating senior who has a four-point grade point average and who has taken at least two advanced placement classes. Brennan Bahnson is one of the valedictorians at the school this
year. Bahnson says the honor would be more meaningful if the school changed the rules so only one top student were recognized. Barb Wicks is a social studies teacher at the school. She says the number of valedictorians is increasing every year. She says there has to be some kind of clarification.
