Laramie, WY – More tourists are visiting Wyoming and spending more money in the state. The most recent figures available show that in 2006 tourists spent nearly $2.5 billion in Wyoming. Wyoming travel and tourism director Diane Shobur says she believes an increase in spending on national advertising has helped generate more interest in the state.
Shobur says that for the entire year inquiries into her office are up by nearly 50 percent.
