Trauner says campaigning will be tough on everyone

Laramie, Wy – Despite the addition of some late quality candidates, Wyoming democrats will be facing an uphill climb this year. One person who is sitting out this year's election is Gary Trainer who twice was defeated as a U-S House candidate. Trauner admits that the political climate is tense, but he says it is not just anti-democrat it is anti-incumbent as well. "Not every dem is going to win around the country this year and not every dem is going to lose in close elections. There's a definite anti incumbent mood and it is justified on both sides of the aisle."
Trauner says the climate would not have scared him from running. He adds that in Wyoming, Democrats need to have a better pipeline of potential candidates.
