Jackson, Wy – Former congressional Candidate Gary Trauner isn't done with politics yet. The Wilson Democrat lost his second bid for the U-S House of Representatives in November. But he says he's been talking with high-ranking members of the Democratic Party about joining Barack Obama's administration. Trauner says he hasn't been vetted by anyone, but he is keenly interested in using his background in finance or knowledge about western energy issues to help the incoming administration. Trauner says he's spoken with high-ranking people in three groups. The Democratic Congressional Caucus, the Democratic National Committee, and people of influence within the Obama camp itself. Trauner says he is working connections that he has made during the past two election cycles. He failed in 2006 and 2008 to win Wyoming's seat in the House of Representatives. Despite the losses, Trauner says he's still interested in finding work that makes a difference.
