Two Laramie City Planers Quit

Laramie, Wy – There is more turnover in Laramie's city government. Two members of the planning department resigned this week. That comes after several years of instability and just weeks after complaints about the speed of the planning process in the city. Mayor Jodi Guerin says to try and deal with this problem they previously hired a consultant to do a report and look at the issue and find out if it is endemic to the city. She says she knows there is a lot of pressure on the planning office and that could be part of the reason these people left.
Guerin says they plan to do exit interviews with the staff members to get more information about why they resigned. The consultant's report says delays and inefficient processes are not new to Laramie and the main bottleneck in the city is in the function of engineering.
