Utah After Wyoming Students

Salt Lake City, Utah – A legislative committee in Utah is backing
a bill that would allow more out-of-state students to pay in-state
tuition at Utah's universities and colleges.
The idea is to attract more students from Wyoming, Idaho and
other surrounding states.
The bill would allow 675 students from outside Utah to pay
in-state tuition and 225 students from outside Utah to pay half of
the out-of-state-rate.
The scholarships would be divided up among Utah's schools.
Utah's current law allows for five-hundred tuition waivers but
says no more than half of them can be used for scholarships to pay
half of the out-of-state rate.
