Laramie, WY – University of Wyoming trustees today
(Friday) approved a ten percent increase in room, board and rent rates starting next fall.
Trustees also approved a four-point-three percent increase in student fees.
U-W officials say the university is facing higher costs for salaries and sharply higher costs for benefits and utilities.
Phill Harris, U-W's vice president for administration, says the new fees will cover the university's costs.
