Laramie, Wy – For the first time ever a swimmer from the University of Wyoming qualified for the Olympics. Scott Usher finished second at the trials in California and is ranked fourth in the world now.
Usher says the trials were a thrill because 10 thousand people packed the stands.
The senior-to-be is now training at Stanford University he leaves for Europe August first. He will compete in the 200 meter breaststroke and he says it is possible he could be asked to swim in the relay event as well.
