Riverton, WY – Wyoming's workforce services division has won a grant from the national governors' association to create programs that increase senior citizens' involvement in the community. Wyoming's aging division administrator bev morrow says she helped develop the proposal and will be part of the team deciding how to use the funds. Morrow says the programs could not only help boost seniors' activity levels and morale, but also help communities. Morrow says an upcoming policy conference on the East coast should provide guidance on how best to involve seniors whether that includes getting seniors involved in local government, volunteering, or acting as consultants.
