Laramie, Wyo – A report shows that temperatures in Wyoming and the west are rising twice as fast as in the rest of the world.
Theo Spencer of the Natural Resources Defense Fund says growth and enhanced energy development is likely behind the increase. Spencer says it has led to increased forest fires to a number of water issues.
Spencer says this has impacted the tourism economy through fires and impacts on ski areas. He says the state needs to look at other ways of developing energy instead of sticking with traditional sources.
