Laramie, Wy – Wyoming was selected to join a multi state effort to get high school students to take tougher classes. This means the state gets 300 thousand dollars per year for the program. University of Wyoming Vice President Rollin Abernathy says the state is fortunate to be able to participate. He says a rigorous high school experience is proven to help students succeed in college.
The state can use the money it is receiving to encourage students to take the Hathaway Scholarship Curriculum. That will be required for high school graduates to get money from this new scholarship program.
