Wyoming Physicist Lobbies for Fusion Power Plant

Laramie, Wy – A physicist in Laramie wants the U-S government to set up the world's first ever fusion power plant in Wyoming. Gary Linford has done research on fusion and says the technology is possible the government just needs to spend money researching how to engineer the power plants.
Right now the Bush administration says work should start on fusion power in about 50 years. Linford says that's too late and he says Laramie is the place to do it. His reasoning is that a plant would need a lot of open space and he says it needs to be built in a spot that is not prone to natural disasters.
