Laramie, Wy – Wyoming Senator Craig Thomas says he'll vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee John Roberts.
After meeting with Roberts Wednesday, Thomas described the nominee as a commonsense, well-educated person.
Thomas, a Republican, said he talked with Roberts about private property rights, the Endangered Species Act and other issues of interest in Wyoming.
The state's other senator, Republican Michael Enzi, also says
he'll vote for the to approve Roberts, a former attorney in the Reagan and first Bush administrations.
If confirmed, Roberts would fill the position of Chief Justice William Rehnquist, who died earlier this month.
