Cody, Wy – Yellowstone National Park
Superintendent Suzanne Lewis says she doesn't expect high gasoline
prices to affect tourism in the park this summer.
Lewis says that reservations for lodging at and around the park
this year are up in numbers. She adds that in her experience,
reservations at Yellowstone and Grand Teton are generally made
months in advance, and cancellations are rare.
Lewis cautions that if cancellations begin to come in for
September or October, then that may be an indication that gas
prices are affecting travel plans.
